KEVIN BACON’S Hoof Dressing
Laurel balm for the maintenance and protection of horse's hooves

Maintaining the suppleness, elasticity, and balance of horses' hooves calls for the use of top-quality products, amongst other things.

Our Hoof Dressing reflects this philosophy.
We have been making Kevin Bacon's Hoof Dressing according to traditional methods for more than 32 years. It is a 100% natural product made from animal fat and fresh laurel leaves that are macerated to release their active substances
.

Our hoof dressing does not merely give the horn a pretty shine. Kevin Bacon's Hoof Dressing penetrates and nourishes the hoof deep down.

Using it regularly keeps the hoof wall from drying out, protects it from dampness, and activates horn growth.

All of these properties make Hoof Dressing a remarkable product that is used and recommended by all riding professionals.

Like all natural greases, our Hoof Dressing hardens in winter because it contains no solvents or crude oil derivatives.*

We have thus devised a winter formula that is 25% richer in oil to keep our Hoof Dressing soft and creamy even in colder weather.

*Used in some other brands:

- solvents give the grease a constant consistency but dry out the hoof wall.

- crude oil derivatives, such as paraffin and tar, clog the horn's pores, keep the hoof from breathing, and seal anaerobic bacteria in the foot, where they can proliferate and lead to thrush.

Hoof Dressing also comes in black.

In making this dressing, we add natural vine ash to give it a dark colour. The ash, which is also slightly antiseptic, does not change the quality of the balm at all.
